How To Manifest Your Dreams Of A Simple Life
Content
What dream would you love to come true? Do you dream of living somewhere else? Do you have a dream job? Do you dream about having lots of money? I wanted all those “things” and so much more. My dreams felt impossible and I had so many reasons why they couldn’t or wouldn’t happen.
We all have dreams. Anything and everything you want is possible. I didn’t know this until I joined Enchanted Life University. These are a few things I learned when going through the program:
- Tell a new story
- Find evidence
- Bring your dream into your life now
Tell a new story. What stories do you tell about your dream? It’s not possible? I don’t know how to make it happen? I can’t afford that?
Take out a piece of paper. (If you prefer, open up any app on your phone) Write down your dream at the top. Then write down all the reasons (stories) that your dream can’t or won’t happen. Your reasons, your explanations, your why it can’t happen are all stories. Today you get to tell a new story.
Here’s an example of what your paper would look like if you taken out a sheet of paper (or app on your phone) and are writing it down right now:
Dream: I want to move out west.
Current stories: It’s too expensive. I don’t know how to make it happen. Everyone else can pick up and move but I can’t. I have too many responsibilities here. I can’t have what I want.
Now that you “see” what your current stories are about your dream, you get to choose to tell new stories.
New story: I am open to opportunities to move out west. I have more than enough money to pursue my dream of living out west. I am allowed to have what I want. I can live wherever I want and my responsibilities are handled with ease.
Telling new stories shifts the energy and makes your dreams possible.
Find evidence. No matter what stories we are telling, we find evidence to support that story. For example, I used to tell the story that if I wanted to do my dream jobs, I had to go back to school and get a degree. I wanted to be a coach and an artist and I didn’t have a degree in either. I didn’t want to go to college, so I thought my dreams were never gonna happen. Because I was telling those stories, I found evidence to support them. I would look up job postings, for coaching or artist types jobs, and guess what??? They all wanted you to have a degree and experience. I had experience, but no degree.
Here’s what you’re going to do next to find evidence to support the new stories you wrote down. Take out another sheet of paper (or app on your phone) and at the top write “Evidence”. Look at your new stories from your first sheet of paper. What could you find as “evidence” to support your new story? I’ll give you an example of what to do:
Evidence
New Story: I am open to opportunities to move out west.
What evidence would support this new story?
- Uhaul truck
- Overhearing a conversation about someone moving out west
- Seeing a cactus
Write down anything that when you “see” it or “hear” it, you know that it’s evidence that moving out west is possible.
When I changed the stories about being a coach or an artist, I kept finding evidence of people doing what I wanted to do with no college degrees. It started with changing the story I was telling, and then looking for evidence to support my new story.
Bonus: Keep an evidence log of all the evidence you're gathering. When you need a reminder that your dream is possible, and that you are telling a new story, open up your evidence log and read it! Great way to support you as you’re changing and telling new stories!
Bring your dream into your life now. Most people have a dream, yet they don’t necessarily know what their life feels or looks like when they get it or have it. Get another blank sheet of paper (or app on phone) or use the sheet that you wrote your evidence list down on and ask yourself these questions:
What do you wear?
What do you do?
What do you see?
These are just a few questions to get you started thinking about what your dream life would look and feel like. Using the moving out west dream, these might be the answers: I wear cowboy boots. I take nature pictures in the desert. I see a cactus in my front yard.
Now that you have a few answers, look at that list and ask yourself what you can do now to bring that into your life? Maybe you go buy a pair of cowboy boots and start wearing them. Maybe you buy a cactus and put it on your desk. Maybe you purchase a piece of artwork of the desert. Bring something into your life now that represents your dream life and place it somewhere that you’ll see it everyday.
I didn’t start telling a new story, find evidence or bring my dream into my life now all by myself! I had a program that led me step by step to living my dreams of a simple life. The daily assignments told me exactly what to do. Plus, I had a coach, who caught me when I was telling stories that didn’t support the life and dreams I was creating. I learned all that and so much more at Enchanted Life University.
Now that I know how to tell a new story, find evidence and bring my dreams into my life now, I am living my dream of a simple life. I am an artist who gets paid to create beautiful things, without having to get a degree. I am a coach, who guides others through the same program that I went through, without having a degree. I have more and more money flowing into my life, and I am enjoying the experiences of having my dreams come to life. All of our dreams are possible, when we decide that everything is possible.
