How Budgeting Helps You Manifest More Money
Content
Do you feel like money is easy for everyone but you? I thought money was easier for everyone else but me too. Every time I heard “you should do a budget” or “do you have a budget” I would cringe. Having a budget meant that money was hard for me. Having a budget felt very restrictive with too many rules. Underneath all that, if I had to have a budget, it meant I wasn’t very smart or capable with my money. Until I learned that having a budget actually gave me choices and freedom. Which also led to me being very smart and capable with my money.
The key areas that helped me go from money is hard to money is easy were:
Change money mindset
Look at your money
Make choices
Create a budget
Changing Money Mindset. When you have the mindset that money is hard, it’s always going to be hard because that’s the story you’re telling. Whatever story you are telling, you’re going to continue to live it and have proof that it’s true. When you change your mindset to money is easy, and start telling that story, you will start living a life where money gets easier and have proof that it’s true.
Looking At Your Money. When money is hard, you don’t want to look at your money. What does it mean to look at your money? It means to look at where you spend your money, which requires you to make a budget or at least write this information down. Write down what your monthly bills are. Then keep track of where you’re spending your money, either by keeping your receipts for a month or opening up your bank statement. At the end of the month, list out where you’re spending your money.
Making Choices. You’ve chosen that you want a new money mindset. You’ve chosen to look at your money and see where you’re spending it. You have a list of what your monthly bills are. You have a list of where you spend outside of what your monthly bills are. With all this information, you get to make choices now. You get to decide if you want to continue spending money on the things you tracked for that last month. You get to decide if you want to start putting money towards something that you do want. You have more choices now on what you want to do with your money.
Creating A Budget. When you do all of the above, it naturally leads to creating a budget. Changing your mindset, you will start to tell a different story about budgets and see how they actually give you more choices and freedom with your money. Your budget will show you where your money is going and you can see if you want to make changes. You’ll also see balances going down and balances going up. Creating a budget creates space and allows more money to flow into your life. Money becomes easier.
I didn’t get through this on my own. I didn’t wake up one morning saying to myself, if I create a budget, it will automatically change my money mindset. I will want to look at where my money goes and know that I could make choices and money magically will become easy for me. I had a proven system that gave me daily assignments to do. By doing these daily assignments, my money mindset started to change and I began telling new stories, like money is easy. Starting to look at my money and knowing where it was going opened up space for me to make new choices on what I wanted to spend my money on. Doing the daily assignments led me to becoming the person who has a budget and money is now easy.
Now that money is easy and I have a budget, I have so much freedom to do more of the things I want. I see my balances going down on my monthly investments. I see my balances going up in all my different savings accounts. I get to take multiple vacations a year. My budget has created space for more and more money to keep flowing in because I put more of what I want on there. I budget for my future dreams, like buying a second home. Money is no longer hard, money is easy.
